Cricket NSW secures Gujarat NRE as a sponsor

Cricket NSW has entered into a 3 year sponsorship agreement with Gujarat NRE Coking Coal Limited that will see them sponsor all Cricket NSW under-age State teams and programs.

In addition, they will become the naming rights partner and major sponsor of the Cricket NSW Indoor Cricket Centre at the Sydney Cricket Ground. Gujarat NRE listed on Australian Security Exchange with ticket code “GNM”, is a subsidiary of Gujarat NRE Coke Limited, the largest manufacturer of Low Ash Metallurgical Coke in India and listed on the National Stock Exchange and Bombay Stock Exchange.

Gujarat NRE is involved in mining, processing and exporting of premium quality hard coking coal. Gujarat NRE owns and operates the NRE No.1 Colliery (formerly known as South Bulli Colliery) and the NRE Wongawilli Colliery (formerly Elouera Colliery acquired from BHP), which are located in the Southern Coalfields of New South Wales.
The sponsorship will commence from 1 July 2010.

Cricket NSW Chief Executive David Gilbert expressed delight at the agreement: "Cricket NSW is extremely proud to announce the sponsorship agreement we have entered into with Gujarat NRE. Gujarat NRE Chairman Arun Kumar Jagatramka is also extremely pleased with the agreement: “We are quite proud of securing this wonderful opportunity and associating with Cricket NSW, which will certainly be beneficial to both the parties”.
